Webinar: What Next for US?

The presidency of Donald Trump ended in turmoil and trauma, with serious questions being asked about the stability of democracy and civil order in the US.

As Joe Biden takes office, we considered national and international ramifications of recent events in Washington and the challenges facing a deeply divided America.

Speakers in this Webinar included:

  • Jennifer Cassidy Lecturer in Global Governance and Diplomacy at University of Oxford with expertise in diplomacy and political communication. A former diplomat, she has represented Ireland at the UN.

  • Scott Lucas is Emeritus Professor of International Politics at the University of Birmingham and an Associate of the Clinton Institute. He is the founder/editor of EA WorldView and co-founder with the Clinton Institute of America Unfiltered.

  • Donald Pease is the Ted and Helen Geisel Third Century Professor in the Humanities at Dartmouth College. He is the author of numerous books and articles that have transformed the field of American Studies.

  • Suzanne Lynch is Washington correspondent for the Irish Times covering capital and national affairs. Previously she was Europe correspondent, based in Brussels. She holds a PhD in English from Cambridge University.
