Advancements in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) – and the corresponding Information Revolution- have had an enormous impact on modern societies. As a consequence, an increased number of governments has developed national cyber security policies. This includes the government of the United States of America which has been at the forefront of such developments since at least the 1960s.

At the Clinton Institute, we have undertaken research on various aspect of US cyber security policy. This includes research on:

- Developments in US cyber security policy under the presidency of Barack Obama

- The potential contribution of private sector actors to national strategies of cyber deterrence

- The impact of developments in ICT for US national security, especially in the areas of homeland security, defense, and foreign policy.
